Obituary for Milton Vincent Glass Sr.

Milton Vincent  Glass Sr.
A Time to be Born: March 5, 1933 in Jacksonville, Florida the son of Arthur and Beatrice Glass.

A Time to Love: After a brief courtship , Milton was joined in holy matrimony on November 14, 1959, to Maudestine Jamison the love of this life. The relationship lasted for fifty-seven years.

A Time to Learn: Milton attended and graduated from Florida A & M University, where he majored in Industrial Arts.

A Time to Work: He taught Industrial Arts in the Duval County Public School Systems, retiring in 1995, after thirty years of services. He also worked as a contractor and plaster by trade.

A Time to Nurture: To this union five loving children were born, Milton II, Cheryl, Valarie, Marlene and Ryan.

A Time to be at Peace: Milton departed this life on Monday, July 24,2017 at Baptist Hospital. He was preceded in death by Gilbert, Harold and Arthur.

A Time of Remembrance: Milton leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Maudestine Glass; five children, Milton Glass, II (Kathy) of Tallahassee , Florida, Cheryl Young (William) of Jacksonville, Florida, Valarie Glass, Marlene Glass of Jacksonville, Florida and Ryan Glass (Katrina) of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren, Tabitha, Tyron, Darius, James, Tanna, Keon, Jadan, Ryleigh, and Jordyn; Great-grandchildren, Curtis and Tiera; godson, Marvin Nance; close friends, B. Cain and S. Mosley, Dr. and Mrs. William A Morris, Keith Miles, Sylvia and Dawn Smith.

The funeral service for Milton Vincent Glass Sr. will be held 12:30PM Thursday, August 3rd, 2017 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street. The visitation will be 5 - 7PM, Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017 at the mortuary. Interment in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
