Obituary for Naomia Thomas

Naomia Thomas was born November 1st , 1947 in Pearson, Ga to the late Deacon J.C And Ophelia Thomas . Mom was a faithful soldier in the army of the Lord and she fought a good fight of faith.

She loved God and simply adored serving people. She lovingly devoted her time as a faithful member of the Greater New Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. She took advantage of opportunities to be a blessing to others however and whenever she could with a caring heart full of compassion.

Naomia was a retiree of 32 years at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida. She served the latter part of her career as a licensed life insurance representative/agent.

Naomia understood that challenges were a part of life and when faced with obstacles and life uncertainties she stood on the word of God and frequently declared “ this too shall pass.” She encouraged others as well as herself.

Naomia peacefully transitioned on Saturday December 17,2022.

Naomia was preceded in death by her parents Mr & Mrs Thomas , brothers J.C Jr. , Johnny C., Willie J, James, Ralph, Isaiah , Robert L.

She is survived by her daughters Carletha Lanier, Vanessa L Holmes (Elder Stanley) , Tamika Peterkin (Gerald), a loving sister Jewel Ann Thomas, Brother Sylvester Thomas, Eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, one bonus daughter (Janice Young) and one bonus son (Clyde Stanley), a Host of family and friends to cherish her memory.

She claimed the victory at last, this too shall pass.
