Obituary for Patricia Ann Samuels
Patricia Ann Samuels was born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 6, 1950 to the late Lawrence and Alice Kaiser. She was educated in the Duval County Public School Systems. Patricia also known as Pat or Patty worked in the hospitality industry for many years. Most notably Holiday Inn and Hospitality Inn chains. She later went on to work at Shands Hospital and retired from there in 2011. She grew up in Tabernacle Baptist Institutional Church, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She loved her gospel music. She was truly the Mother Teresa of the family. It was her desire to help everyone.
On September 29, 1974, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Earl Samuels, a devoted husband of 47 years. Patricia was a loving and devoted mother to four children.
Patricia received her eternal healing on January 13, 2021, surrounded by her family. She leaves to memorialize a life well lived. A devoted husband, Earl Samuels, who remained by her side throughout her sickness; children, Michael Askew, Sherry Askew, Jermaine Askew and Laura Moore (Charles); siblings, Alice Hamler, Buffalo, New York, Willie Kaiser (Juanita), Joyce Dasher, Mary Louise Floyd, Lawrence Kaiser, Jr. (Lucrecia), and Calvin Kaiser; sisters-in-law, Anne, Carolyn, Maryland, and Yvonne; grandchildren, Cedric, Shawnteka, Travis, Charlene, Michael Jr., Dominque and Kory; 14 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends, and adoptive children who will dearly miss her and love her.
The funeral service for Patricia Ann Samuels will be held 10:00 am Saturday, January 30th, 2021 at the Restlawn Cemeteries South, 3301 Moncrief Road West, Jacksonville, FL 32208. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 29th, 2021 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries South.
