Obituary for Richard W. "Big Daddy" Bradford III

On Thursday morning, December 10th, 2009, the Lord saw fit to call Mr. Richard William Harry Bradford, III home from pain, troubles and heartaches, at the age of 62. Mr. Bradford was born on February 13th, 1947 to Richard D. Bradford, Jr. and Edith Way Bradford, who preceded him in death along with his brother, Mr. Larry E. Bradford, Sr. and his two youngest sons, Mr. Larry J. W. Bradford and Mr. Douglas A. L. Bradford. Richard attended Long branch Elememtary and Matthew Gilbert High Schools. He later met and married the mother of seven of his children, Virginia R. Bradford. Richard was a very good Mechanic and was one of the best upholsters in the city of Jacksonville for 43 years. He's affectionately known as "Big Daddy", and "Booga" by his loved ones. Mr. Bradford resided at 1325 W. 16th St. He is survived by his wife, Janice Floyd Bradford; sons, Richard J. (Equilla), Cecil (Marlo) and Donald Bradford (Celeste), Marcus Brown and Theodore; daughters, Virginia and Marjorie Bradford, Sherese Odom, Keisha Robinson, Barbara and Anetrice Floyd and Denetrice Rouse; sister Simmie B. Hines (Willie); brothers, Donald C. (Mamie), William E. (Mary) Bradford,, Theodore Mays (wife); uncles, Nathaniel Way, and Hollice Robinson; aunts, Kathleen Way and Jimmie Bradford; godsister, Jacquelyn Wilson; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grands, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws and other loving family members and friends.
