Obituary for Robert Graves Jr.

Robert B. Graves Jr., (affectionately known as "Bobby") was born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 11, 1945, to the late Robert Graves Sr. and the late Sarah Swain Graves Love. Robert was educated in local Duval County Schools. He worked for over 10 years as a Crane Operator for Florida Machinery Company. He further worked in the Culinary Field at several local restaurants. Robert had many talents among them were Carpentry and Entrepreneurship which he pursued in his later years. On December 8, 1972, he married his beautiful wife Terry and together they were blessed with his younger daughter Robin.

Bro. Graves received Christ as his personal Lord and Savior on June 19, 2013, at Lem Turner Circle Church of Christ where he worshipped until he physically was no longer able to.

Robert peacefully passed away under the loving and excellent care of his dear older daughter Tasha and Johnny Groover who were by his side.

Those left to cherish his precious memories are: His devoted wife, Terry Graves; children, Tasha Livingston and Robin Brown (Will); grandchildren, Ki-era Groover, Johnny Groover, Jr. and Graylin Brown; brothers, Joseph Graves (Gayle) and Marvin Love (Carole); sisters, Retha Carswell (Henry), Joann Corbett (James), Sandra Cofer and Laura Hall; brothers-in-law, Clifford Brown and Kim Brown; sister-in-law, Debra Brown; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, church family, close friends and neighbors will also carry memories of him.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved older brother Preston Graves and baby sister Cathy Jackson.

The funeral service for Robert Graves, Jr. will be held 10AM, Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at the Lem Turner Circle Church of Christ 7131 Lem Turner Circle. The visitation will be 5 - 7PM, Friday, at the mortuary. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery. Please sign the family guest book and view the video tribute @ www.tswarden.com.
