Mr. Robert "Pokey" Howard Jr., departed this life on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, in St. Vincent Hospital of Jacksonville, Florida.
Mr. Robert "Pokey" Howard Jr. was born July 12, 1974 to the late Robert Howard Sr., and Sylvia L. Ephron-Howard. He attended the local schools of Duval County and graduated from William M. Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida. He worked as a Longshoreman and Barber for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Howard Sr.; mother, Sylvia L. Ephron-Howard and brother, Christopher Ephron; special friend, Kamia Nelson.
He leaves to cherish his memories his seven sons, Deon Howard, Javon Howard Sr., Zay Howard, Raequan Howard, Quandarius Howard, Robert Howard III of Jacksonville, Florida and Jayden Howard of Atlanta,Georgia; one loving daughter, Rae'ven Howard of Jacksonville, , Florida; three grandchildren Javon Jr., Jayce,and Madisyn of Jacksonville, Florida; four loving and devoted sisters, Paulette Porter (Terry), M. Yvette Kidd (Warren), of Jacksonville, Florida; Sylvia Ephron-Everett (Noah Sr.) of Folkston Georgia; and Tiffany Thompkins of Jacksonville, Florida; significant other, Ms. Ebony Easterling of Jacksonville, Florida; a special nephew (Lil Brother) Terry (Tee) Rogers of Grovetown, Georgia; two step sons, Torien Easterling, and Antonio Timmons of Jacksonville, Florida; two special nieces, Roneisha Priester and Tiara Porter, eleven nephews, Terry Rogers, Kenneth Rogers, Aaron Rogers, Adrain Rogers, Steven Rogers, Alvin Frazier, Noah Everett Jr., Zedrick Enoch, Kevin Kidd, Kimani Kidd and Nolan Everett, four Goddaughters, Kurrea Kimbrough, Caliya Holmes,Brooke Williams, and Skylark Foster; special friends Seteria Thrope, Tasha Etheridge, Shayla Givens, Charlie Bell, Linda Turner, Rome Mallory (As a Brother), Eric Simmons,Tammy Murphy-Sapp, Jamie Monroe,Tony Stepp, and Dap, two deceased friends Big Mike and Pee.
