Ron Heck was born on June 24, 1970. He attended and graduated from Alden Road Exceptional Student Education Center in Jacksonville; he also attended Pine Castle and Keep Safe Center.  Ron was employed by the ARC of Jacksonville for 20 plus years. Ron joined and was a member of the Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church at an early age. 
     
Ron had a special love for his grand niece and grand nephews. He referred to himself as "Big Daddy" and was full of life and although he endured many obstacles he would light up a room with laughter. He truly will be missed by his family and the ARC van riders. 

Ron departed this life on Thursday, September 8, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father; Allen R. Jones. Ron leaves to cherish his memories, mother, Catherine E. Jones; grandfather, Frank Jenkins, Sr.; sisters, Sheila Dunn and Sharon Hawkins (Gerald, Sr.); God sister, Cynthia Chisolm; nephews; Terrance Dunn (Shenequa) and Gerald Hawkins, Jr.; niece, Terra Dunn; grand nephews, Gerald Hawkins, III, Terrell Holmes, Trenton Holmes, Gene Page III, and Justin Page; grand niece, Si'yah Hawkins; special friend, Pearl Davis; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and the ARC Family.
