I served with Ron in 1987-88 at Fleet Training Center Mayport Fl. I was a YN3 coming off sea duty and Ron was a YN1 and he was in charge of their Administrative Dept. we immediately hit it off. He took me under his wing teaching me how to be a good Yeoman and sailor. We both loved sports, me the Gators and him his beloved LSU Tigers. I was thinking about him yesterday (June 9) and Googled his name. I was devastated to learn of his passing in the prime of life. My heart and condolences go out to his family. Ron was a true friend and a wonderful person. He is in my prayers.

To Theresa Cooper and the family,
I never got a chance to physically meet Ron, but knew Ron vicariously through Theresa. She spoke always so highly of her husband especially his cooking. When I received the message from Theresa that Ron had passed away I was saddened because I knew he was truly her soul mate and that she would miss everything about him. May God give you all understanding, peace, and strength during the rest of your days with this sorrowful loss. Tre' God is strengthening you for the path he has laid out for you continue to follow it.
