Obituary for Roosevelt Milton Hall

Mr. Roosevelt Milton Hall was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Mr. Joe Hall and the late Mrs. Lizzie Hall. He was the sixth child of nine siblings, four brothers and five sisters.

Mr. Hall was a product of Duval County Public Schools, Oakland Elementary School and Matthew William Gilbert Junior-Senior High School. He believed that the key to success in life was a sound basic education.

This belief attests to his daily reading of the newspaper and weekly and monthly magazines from cover to cover. He was an avid reader with wide knowledge of the conditions in the United States and the world.

Intelligent, Dedicated, Caring, Supportive, Loving, Calm, and Shares are words that are synonymous with Roosevelt. Yet, they are more than words—they are virtues that he lived each and every day.

Mr. Hall was employed with the National Maritime Union of America. During his worldwide travel with the union, he gained a wealth of information and knowledge of the customs and traditions of many other countries.

On Monday, September 10, 2018, Mr. Roosevelt Milton Hall departed this life, and went to be with the Lord. He was predeceased by his parents, Mr. Joe Hall and Mrs. Lizzie Hall; siblings, Mr. Joseph Hall, Mrs. Elouise Adams, Mrs. Minnie Alston, Mrs. Dorothy Jackson, Mr. Napoleon Hall, and Clarence Hall. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Dr. Glenda Hall; sisters, Mrs. Helen Hall Norman and Mrs. Josephine Hall Porter(Robert); and numerous loving nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
