Roy Daniel Allen was born in Statesboro, GA on August 4, 1954 to the late Georgie M. Dallas. He later moved to Jacksonville, FL where he attended public schools and was a graduate of Stanton High School. Roy was employed at Atlantic Asphalt for 25 as a asphalt technician.

In 1996, Roy married Donna Burroughs and they were married for a period of four years.

Roy transitioned to heaven on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 2:36 pm at his residence.

Roy is survived by his devoted children: Deshawn L. Jackson, Crystal S. Jackson, and Terry D. Jackson; brothers, Sammie Dallas (Linda) and Earl Dallas; sisters, Loretta Lee (Curtis), Angela Harris(Kevin), and Louvenia; sister-in-law, Elizabeth L Allen; a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgie M Dallas and brother, Bernard Allen.

Roy was devoted to his family and very helpful whenever called upon. His humor, stories, and love will be greatly missed.

The memorial service for Roy Daniel Allen will be held 11:00 am Thursday, December 10th, 2020 at the Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, Florida 32206.
