Obituary for Saralyn Daisy Butler

Saralyn Daisy Butler affectionately known as “Lynn” was born April 15, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Mr. Richard A. Lundy Sr. and Mrs. Sara Mae Lundy. She was the second child and only girl amongst her four siblings.

Saralyn attended the local schools of Duval County and graduated from William Marion Raines, Class of 1967 in Jacksonville, Florida. She retired from Prudential Insurance Company after 33 years of dedicated service. Thereafter, Saralyn devoted her time to caring for her grandchildren, watching football and taking care of her numerous plants. Saralyn was a member of St Paul Missionary Baptist Church, under the pastorate of Bishop John E. Guns.

Saralyn departed this life on Monday morning, October 28, 2019. She leaves to cherish loving memories with her children, Patrick Durham, Ericka Lundy, Stephen Butler and Stephanie Butler; grandchildren, L. Frank Swain Jr., Javon Durham, De’Ivan Hill, Za’Mare Butler, Kyle Durham and Samiyah Butler; siblings, Richard A. Lundy Jr., Arthur T. Lundy, Wayne C. Lundy and Kenneth T. Lundy (Karen); aunt, Dr. Helen Green; uncle, George Lundy; nieces, Khalilah Lundy, LaTisha Lundy, Renada Lundy, Reshunda Lundy, Ashley Williams and Sydni Lundy; nephews, Paul Lundy, Richard Lundy III and Devin Lundy; great-nieces, Mikaylah Wright, Kimani Lundy, Shawntell Harris, Jordan Henry, Jasmine Weber and Ka’Zariya Lundy; great-grand-niece, Malaya Crowden; great-nephews, Travon Lundy, Ra’Quan Stokes, Khalil Lundy, Jeinaud Jones, Jeremiah Acosta, Damarion Acosta, Jakori Williams, Jordan Henderson and Jahmir Thorpe; a number of other relatives and close friends, including the Coffer family of Augusta, Georgia and the Redding family of Jacksonville, Florida.
