Obituary for Sheila Reane Anderson

Sheila Renea Anderson was born May 7, 1966 to JoAnn Anderson-Ulmer and Eddie Lee Rhodes in St. Augustine, Florida and graduated from Jean Ribault Senior High School, Class of 1984. Sheila played in the marching band. She continued her educated at Concorde in Jacksonville, Florida receiving her certification as a Patience Care Technician, where she worked in the healthcare field for 32 years until her health failed. As a little girl Sheila attended First New Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir, her favorite song was “It’s Going To Rain”. Then Sheila and her family joined the Bethel Church. She was loyal, friendly, dependable and a loving mother and grandmother.

Sheila loved to cook; her favorite dishes was, seafood, rice and pasta salad. She was a great organizer for family get togethers, vacation planner, and a cheerleader coach at the YMCA. Sheila departed this life on July 21, 2019.

Sheila leaves to cherish her memories: husband, James Dukes; sons, Jarrard Dixon and James Dukes III (Angel); daughter, Jermia Anderson; special granddaughter, Tre’niyah, Sheila Shakir and nine other grandchildren; mother, JoAnn Anderson-Ulmer; father, Eddie Lee Rhodes (Belleglade, FL); three sisters, Michelle Pool (Ivory), Katrina Ulmer, Wilma Ulmer (Greg); brother, Eddie Lee Turner (Kuwait); 2 god sisters,; 1 goddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Sheila was the life of the party, she knew how to keep you laughing and smiling throughout it all. Rest on Sheila, we will see you on the other side.

Because When she came to Belle Glade she wouldn’t Hesitate to get in that Kitchen and Rattle Them Pots.... That Seafood Rice & Pasta Salads was Everything..
