Obituary for Shelida Jones

Shelida Jones was born to Jesse and Hattie Troutman, September 20, 1951 in Macon, Georgia. She moved to Jacksonville, Florida at the age of 14 and attended Darnell Cookman, then New Stanton Senior High School, graduating in 1969.

Shelida joined Northside Church of Christ in 1978 where she was a parishioner for over 30 years; due to her dedication to Christ, she lived her life as a Christian and eleemosynary woman.

Shelida married June 9, 1979, to her predeceased husband; a matrimony that lasted for nearly 32 years until his demise. From that union they had a daughter, Lahtreana Jones and a son, Willis Courtney.

She departed this life on November 23, 2019.

Shelida leaves to mourn her demise two children, Willis Courtney and Lahtreana Jones; three sisters, Deloris Hutchins, Margaret Varnadore (Squire), and Dorothy Jackson (Richard); In-laws, Reginald Jones, Sharon Offord (Allen), Meloney Jones, and many sorrowing family and friends.
