Obituary for Shirley Gerone Vann Sharp

Mrs. Shirley Gerone Vann Sharp affectionately known by many as “Kool”; was born on October 17, 1931 in Appling County, Georgia to the late Reno and Wilhelmenia Vann. She departed this life surrounded by her loved ones peacefully after a brief illness on May 19, 2018.

Shirley was a phenomenal woman. She was a faithful Jehovah Witness for more than 45 years. She was the rock of her family. She was truly an inspiration; the absolute picture of a strong independent black woman. Loving, Selfless and Devoted to her children, siblings, and friends. She never met a stranger; ever one she met was like family. She generously gave endlessly. And we know she had to grace you with her signature saying, “I’m better than Good”! She enjoyed dancing, cooking, sewing, and baking. She had one of the best Red Velvet and Pound Cakes, Hands Down!
