Susie Ann Mapp-Brooks was born on September 3, 1956 in Jacksonville, Florida to Margaret Mapp and Sylvester Mapp, Sr. She attended the Duval County Public School Systems. Susie later met and married Leonard D. Brooks.

Susie departed this life on Saturday, April 16, 2016. She was preceded in death by her father, Sylvester Mapp, Sr.; sisters, Valarie Mapp and Iris Mapp.

Susie leaves to cherish loving memories her husband, Leonard Brooks; daughters, Shannon Orick (Anthony), Corliss Alston (Glennorris); son, Jomerca Mapp; grandchildren, Marchay Mapp, Deano Eliam, Erica Johnson, Glenkeria Alston, Jomerca Mapp, Jr., Jacobi Alston, and Jordyn Alston; great-grandchildren, Kaleah Rackley and MySean Norfleet; mother, Margaret Mapp; brothers, Sylvester Mapp and Allen Mapp; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Susie Ann Mapp-Brooks will be held 11:00 am SATURDAY, at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel, 4315 N.
