Sylister “CJ” McCants Jr. was born on May 28, 1945 to Sylister McCants Sr. and Irene Bell (Packer) McCants in Camden, Alabama.
Sylister worked with the City of Jacksonville in construction for over 20 years. He retired with the City of Jacksonville nine years ago. Sylister enjoyed riding his bicycle and spending time with his friends. He loved sitting on the porch watching the kids go by from school.
Sylister passed away on December 31, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Sylister leaves to mourn his passing: daughter, Gabrielle McCant; brother, Harry L. McCants (Agrett); sisters, Rosa L. Gay, Leola McCants and Creola M. Lanier (James) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
