Obituary for Sylvia Henderson Fluckers
Sylvia H. Flucker was born September 11, 1939 in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the local schools of Duval County, graduating from Stanton High School. Sylvia was a devoted Christian, who loved going to church and praising the Lord. She was a devoted member of Northside Church of Christ. Sylvia loved to smile and sing her songs. She was a loving wife to Clarence Fluckers Sr. for over 49 years before his passing and a wonderful mother to two beautiful daughters and two handsome sons.
Sylvia was a mother to anyone who was motherless or in need of the love & warmth of a mother’s touch. She was classic and sophisticated, and shared her love and resources freely to anyone who needed help. The most important and greatest thing she shared with the world was the salvation of Jesus Christ, because Sylvia loved the Lord with all of her heart, mind, and soul.
Sylvia was called home on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Fluckers Sr.; two daughters, Sonya Denson and Joycelyn Patterson; son-in-law, Jonathan Patterson; parents, Walter and Sarah Henderson; and all her siblings.
Sylvia will be cherished forever by those who were left behind: sons, Clarence Fluckers Jr. (Robyne) and Yavari Fluckers (Darrielle); daughter in love, Portia Fluckers; sister in love, Eunatee Henderson; grandchildren, Robert, Reginald Sr. (Ariel), Jonathan Jr., Jamal Sr., Ya’Juan, Clarence III, Jacobi, Brittany (Troy), Ciara (Harold), Brendan, Julius and Edward; goddaughter, Fayeshauna; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Sylvia Henderson Fluckers will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, December 5th, 2020 at the Northside Church of Christ 4736 Avenue B. Jacksonville, FL 32209. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, December 4th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
