Obituary for Tavarus Shavon Stephens

On May 30,1996, Tavarus Shavon Stephens was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the parents of Patricia Stephens and Bimley West. He attended Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida and graduated from Andrew Jackson Senior High School, Class of 2014.

Tavarus was smart, fun, loving and such an amazing father. His favorite sports were football and baseball. He played baseball for Andrew Jackson his senior year (2013-2014 Pitcher). Tavarus was named “Andrew Jackson Baseball Player of the year.” Number #21.

He was full of life and would light up any room with laughter. His spirit was joyful, compassionate, and humble.  He was a God-fearing man and put God before anything. Tavarus was an over achiever and all he ever wanted was to make sure his family was taken care of. In 2018, he was certified for his D & G License.  He went to further his career to be a Merchant Seaman.  Although his life was cut short his memories will forever live in our hearts.

Tavarus leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Patricia Stephens and father, Bimley West; his one and only son, Tavarus Stephens Jr.; fiancé, Jahleah Wright; siblings, Rashad Stephens, Ashley Stephens, Bimley West III, Takerria West, Antwan West, Khalil West (deceased), Bimely West, D’Artra West, and Jokobe West; grandmother, Cassandra Brown; aunt, Ida West; uncles, Zimley West and William Brown; loved one Patricia Porter and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
