Obituary for Thelma Small
Thelma Small was born in Montezuma, Georgia, on February 7, 1931, to Walter Mallard and Henrietta Lloyd. She confessed Christ at an early age. Uniting with St. Paul AME Church where she was baptized. Thelma attended school in Macon County, Georgia and received her education at Macon County High School.
She was a faithful member of Holsey Temple CME Church in Jacksonville, FL where she was Women’s Missionary Society President Emeritus.
Thelma later met and married Willie Mack Small in Jacksonville, Florida. From this union was born (2) sons, Willie Mack Small, Jr. and Ronald Small and (4) daughters, Gwendolyn Pittman, Karen McGriff, Sharon Small, and Sandra Small.
Thelma departed this life on Sunday, July 24, 2022 and was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Mack Small. She leaves to mourn her passing her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; an aunt, Emma Hall; and a host of cousins, friends, and neighbors.
