Obituary for Tyrone Louis West

Tyrone Louis West was born on September 25, 1973 in Jacksonville, Florida to Janice D. Copeland and Thaddeus B. West. He attended the local schools and graduated from Samuel W. Wolfson Sr High School.

Tyrone being the ambitious guy, he enrolled himself into Florida Career College and earned his Associates Degree in Network Administration. Tyrone didn’t just stop there he continued to further his education earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology Software Engineering in 2015.

Tyrone was a lover of sports. He enjoyed watching football. His favorite NFL team was the Atlanta Falcons and his favorite college team was the Florida State Seminoles.

Tyrone loved having fun and loved going to the Monster Truck show, Amusement Parks, and planning and taking trips. He had recently started taking Martial arts boxing classes. He was never afraid to try something new.

Tyrone was a sweet, kind, and gentle soul. He cared so much for his family and friends; whenever you needed Tyrone he was there. He never complained about anything. You could always find him happy. As a child, he loved playing tricks on people. Laughter was the gateway to his soul. His laughter will be missed.

Tyrone was called home on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. He has now been reunited with his grandmother, Thelma E. Copeland, who departed her life on September 20, 2021.

Tyrone was preceded in death by his grandmother, Thelma E Copeland; grandfathers, Israel Lee Copeland, Sr. and James West, Jr.; and uncle, Israel Lee Copeland, Jr.

Those left to cherish Tyrone’s precious memories are his mother, Janice D Copeland; father, Thaddeus B. West; brother, Corey D. Copeland (Steffanie); sisters, Rochelle West, Adinah Joseph, and Seketa Richardson (Jabari); uncles, Frederick (Linda), Eric J. Copeland, and Leroy West (Patricia); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many sorrowing friends.
