Ulysses Ponder was born on September 26, 1952 in Aucilla, Florida to Allen and Henrietta Ponder. He attended the local schools in Duval County, graduating from Robert E. Lee High School.
Ulysses departed this life on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Allen Ponder, Sr., and Henrietta Ponder; brother, Allen Ponder, Jr.
Ulysses leaves to cherish his memories brothers, John Lee, Curtis Lee, Robert Lee Ponder, Norman Lee Ponder and Nichols Smith; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends in Jacksonville FL, Clermont FL, Tampa FL, Orlando FL, Palatka FL, East Palatka FL and Hastings FL.
