Victor Leroy Davis, Sr. was born on May 24, 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida to his mother, Frances Davis Holmes. He confessed Christ at the early age of 8 at Friendly Missionary Baptist Church. He was educated in Duval Public Schools and was a graduate of Stanton High School. After graduating, he served in the United States Army.

Victor later met and married Bettie Jean Mincey. From this union, one son and two daughters were born.

Victor departed this life on Monday, June 22, 2020. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Whitney Dionne Davis; mother, Frances Davis Holmes; brother, Kenneth Holmes; and sisters, Dorothy Holmes and Lisa Holmes. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 52 years, Bettie Jean Davis; daughters, Debra V. Davis and Donna L. Davis (Kenneth Wynn); son, Victor L. (Alicia) Davis, Jr; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and sorrowing friends.

The funeral service for Victor Leroy Davis, Sr. will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden - Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N Main St Jacksonville, FL 32206. The visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S.
