Obituary for Vikki Nathania Cardona

Vikki Nathania Graddick Cardona was born on Tuesday, November 14, 1972, the first child of Nathan and Mary Graddick. She attended the local schools of Duval County, graduating from William M. Raines High School, Class of 1990. She also attended FAMU (received her 2-year degree) and FSCJ.

Vikki’s work career took her to the Postal Service and Jacksonville Planning Department. She worked for twenty-three years at Jacksonville Electric Authority as a Customer Service Consultant. She warmly greeted customers with “Hello, this is Vikki, thank you for calling JEA. How May I help you?”. With the birth of her granddaughter, Royalty she developed a passion for event décor. She did several outstanding events with love until failing health caused her to stop.

Vikki was a member of Open Arms Community Church, where she and her dad were drivers in the church Transportation Ministry. She worked on the Reuben Tribe and VIP Dance Ministry because she loved to dance and that was her way of showing her love for God. Vikki entered the presence of Jesus on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.

Vikki loved family, she leaves to cherish her memory: children, Nathaniel D. Graddick, Jada M. Cardona and Jazmine M. Cardona; grandchildren, Royalty King and Jhiani Graddick; parents, Nathan and Mary Graddick; siblings, Vinette Turner and Nathan W. Graddick; aunts, Gwendolyn Rogers, Ivey Howard, Mary Haire, Elizabeth Smart, Betty Mitchell and Sandra Means; uncles, Carlton Graddick, Sidney Rogers and Larry Hodge (Lisa); godmother, Elouise Covington; niece, Myla Turner; nephews, Tiquarious Johnson and Maceo Turner; devoted cousins, Alicia Richmond, Tameca Murray, Craig Kelly, Yolanda Watson and Marilyn Mosley; goddaughters, Khia Howell and Autumn Roberts. She also leaves behind a host of loving cousins, other relatives, friends, her beloved dog, Cooper; her JEA family and OACC Family.

The funeral service for Vikki Nathania Cardona will be held 11:00 am Thursday, May 20th, 2021 at the Open Arms Christian Fellowship 2763 Dunn Avenue Jacksonville, FL 32218. The visitation will be 4:00 pm 6:00 pm, Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
