Mr. Willie James Armstrong departed this life on Monday, July 18, 2022 to join his son, Terence Armstrong; his father and mother, James and Arcenia Armstrong; his brother, Robert Armstrong; and a very close cousin, Ishmon Johnson. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Ocie of 66 years; daughter, Brenda Armstrong-Brock (Teddy) of Apopka, FL; son, Andre Armstrong (Nita); granddaughter, Melak of Silver Spring, MD; one brother, Albert V. Armstrong (Essie) of Lauderhill, FL; three nephews, Dr. Albert Armstrong (Lita) of Miami, FL, Michael Armstrong of Fayetteville, NC, and Anthony Armstrong of Tampa, FL; a host of nieces and nephews; very close friends, Warren Johnson (Mercedes), Billy, and Craig; godson, Kevin of Pleasanton, CA; and other relatives, church family, and a host of friends.

The funeral service for Willie James Armstrong will be held 10 A.M. Thursday, July 28th, 2022 at the St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 321 West Union Street ,Jacksonville, FL 32202. The visitation will be 5-7 P.M., Wednesday, July 27th, 2022 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden, 4315 N. Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
