From a young age, Mr. Warden was actively involved in funeral service and serving his community. A native of Jacksonville, Tyrone first started working in his grandfather’s (Samuel C. Rogers, Jr) funeral homes in the Jacksonville area - Dallas Graham & Rogers Funeral Home, Whittington & Rogers Funeral Home, Samuel C. Rogers & Sons, and Graham-Rogers Mortuary.

Upon graduation from William M. Raines Sr, High School, Mr. Warden attended and graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, Georgia.

His career began working in several different funeral homes across the country. He worked in 3 cities in California - Oakland, Richmond and Vallejo. He also worked at 2 funeral homes in Greenville, South Carolina. At these funeral homes, Mr. Warden took on the roles of funeral director, manager and operations manager. It was at this stage during his career that he really broadened his knowledge of the funeral industry and developed the care and compassion he’s known for today.

In February of 2001, Mr. Warden decided to rekindle his grandfather’s legacy by opening Funerals by T.S. Warden in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. Each and every day, he and his staff continue the traditional funeral home with the hometown values that were established by his grandfather and other relatives in the industry before him.

Mr. Warden has always been a caring and dedicated person and these personal characteristics get reflected through his work as a funeral director. As you can tell from our homepage, he is very family oriented. It is because of these values that he strives to treat each family he serves as if they are a part of his own. Each and every day, he comes to work ready to serve his community and help families through an emotionally difficult time. His dedication to quality services, operating ethically and building relationships with clients motivates his staff to deliver their best day in and day out.

From the first call until long after the service has ended, our clients can expect an approachable and welcoming attitude from Mr. Warden.
