Bessie L. Brooks, 95, passed away on August 12, 2014. She leaves three daughters to cherish her memories, Lucille Brown, Pommie Haynes (Alphonso) and Kimberly Perry (Kenneth); grands, Chandra Brown, Reginald Brown, Abdel Al-Haleem (Sandella), Alphonso Haynes, Jr., Tosha Haynes, Velvet Griffin, Wanda Taylor, Katina Perry, Kandra Williams (LaRonnee), Kenneth Perry, Jr.; twenty two great grands, seven great, great grands; sisters, Mattie Lane and Inez Madison; brothers, Robert (RD) Rushing, Theodore Rushing (Joyce); sister-in-laws, Daisy Rushing and Lillie Bell Rushing; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral service for Bessie Lee Brooks will be held 10AM, Saturday at the Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church 2407 S.L. Badger Jr. Circle, E. The visitation will be 4 - 7PM, Friday at the church.
