The Life of Darrell Lenard Collins better known as “Big Dank” began on September 21, 1974 in Bradenton, Florida and ended on August 14, 2014 in Jacksonville, Florida when the Lord called him home to join his parents the Late Betty Ann Young and Riley Bailey. He was ushered to the next journey by his Uncle Tony, and the brothers and sisters of his grandma.
He connected with Trinity Deliverance Worship Center of Jacksonville, and he always expressed his love for his family. Daddy’s girls have always had a place in his heart. He was educated in the Duval County Public School System. He was a hard working man and he worked as a laborer for PSC and Gate Concrete. As he travelled this life journey, he shared what was on his mind with a few choice words. He lived life on his terms and marched to his own beat, and the rhythm of his life touched many. He enjoyed having a good time, fishing, hanging out with family and friends. He enjoyed cooking and football especially Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Heat.
He leaves to cherish the life and the memories they made: his loving and devoted grandmother Lois Collins; daughters, Darlen Collins; Alethia Collins and Jonteria Mathews (Georgia); his brothers Troy Collins, Cedric Collins (Wanda), Anthony Virgil, Riley Bailey Jr., and Clay Stuart (Bradenton, Fl); his sisters Dana Collins and Betty Collins (“My Shawn”); his cousin and better known as Aunt Jackie, Aunt Li Lois (Bradenton), Fiancé Ericka McCoy, best friend Tony Thomas and long time friend Rsheema Perry; his nephews as they run the next touchdown for Big Dank, a host of other relatives, niece, nephew, cousins, many dedicated and loyal friends.
