Life Story for Thelma Earnestine Wright

Thelma Ernestine Wright was born March 18, 1943 in Wysacky (Bishopville), SC, to the late Michael and Phyllis (Thomas)Ruth. Thelma grew up in Bishopville with six sibling: the late Isabell Hill, Ella Hickson, Jesse and Charley Thomas and still living Mary Staten and Margaret Ruth.

Thelma felt she desired more and dreamed of something different, she followed eldest brother Charley to Jacksonville, FL with her mother and three sisters Ella, Mary and Margaret later deciding to join them. With this decision Thelma’s relationship with God broke ground and the seed of faith in the Father through Christ was planted.

During her time in Jacksonville Thelma was married to Arthur Fann for many years. She gave birth to three sons, Steven L. Whiting, Chad F. Fann, Christopher M. Fann and a baby daughter that passed during infancy. Her love for God and her children created a drive in her that no demonic force from hell could stop. She was determined to make a way for her chiildren! Thelma wore many hats over the years, very understanding and caring towards all sharing the love of God. Thelma was employed with AT&T for many years and moved on to work for American Express where she later retired.

During these years of never ending perseverance, Thelma’s life was yielding impressionable memories and seeds of faith that were taking root in the hearts of her children. Thelma’s life was enveloped in taking care of those three boys and that is what she did. She made the ultimate mother’s sacrifice of living a life for God and her kid’s, never thinking that the seeds she was sowing would yielded a harvest of such an abundance of love towards her.

This agape love which she received from her kid’s assisted the super of God onto her natural to fulfill the promise of God in Psalm 90:10: “The days of our years are three score and ten”. Thelma Wright was with us for 71 years reaping joy and peace in her latter days, sharing a life with her three sons Steven, Chad and Chris, enjoying the fruit of her labor which produced three God fearing sons.

On October 28, 2014, Thelma made her transition to glory, leaving a legacy to be told, as the lives she’s touched and the impressions made continue to produce seeds of love as we remember her each day. Cherishing her memory and legacy are two loving daughter-in-laws, Tiffany Yvette (Chad) and Tiffany Lynette (Chris); seven grandchildren, Lynwood, Kayla, Kennedy, Caleb, Chase, Jade and Cienna. Thelma is also survived by two nieces Cindy and Katria and four nephews, Bruce, Rodney, Joey, Michael and a host of other relatives and friends.
