Obituary for Willie Henry Henderson Jr.

Willie Henry  Henderson Jr.
Willie H. Henderson, was born on October 16, 1952, in Havana, Florida, to Martha Milton Peters and Willie Henderson, Sr. At an early age Willie was baptized at Primitive Jerusalem Baptist Church in Havana, Florida.

Willie was united in holy matrimony to Debra Mack, in 1980 and out of this union two children were born, Ebony Henderson Green and William Cameron Henderson. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy for a tour of 21 years. Willie retired off the USS Yellowstone in February 1992. After retiring from the Navy he attended and graduated from FCCJ’s HVAC/R school. He was a well-known Air Conditioner, Service Technician in Jacksonville for many years. Willie was also a baseball coach Babe Ruth baseball league and a former Boy Scout Troop leader.

Willie went home to be with the Lord on November 3, 2014, he was preceded in death by his parents, Martha Peters and Willie Henderson, Sr., and his sister, Valeria “Lil Bit” Henderson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Debra; son, William Cameron Henderson (Atasha); daughters, Ebony Henderson Green (Louis), Lekeisha Henderson, St. Petersburg, FL, Dama Huggins (Stacy), Charleston, SC, Trisa Henderson and Crystal Henderson of Virginia; stepmother, Mary Jane Henderson; sisters, Mary Williams, Dianne Nathan (Eddie), Tawanda Bryant, Johnnie M. Peters and Elaine Peters of Tallahassee, FL; brothers, Freddie Knight (Lola), Orlando, FL, John Peters (Linda), Allan Peters of Tallahassee, FL, and Walter McGriff; sister-in-law, Doris Mack, Cincinnati, Ohio; brother-in-law, Anthony Mack (April), Cincinnati, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; four aunts; a devoted best friend, Thomas Jenkins (Cornett), and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.
