Delores Louise  Broughton
Delores L. Broughton affectionately known as “Lolie” was born on August 15, 1959 in Charleston, SC, to Edward and Beatrice Broughton. She received her education in the Charleston county public school system. Delores began her spiritual journey at Ebenezer AME Church in Charleston, SC.

Delores later moved to Jacksonville, FL, and after 23 years made it her home, she attended Titus Harvest Dome Spectrum and, she loved the Lord with all her heart. She was employed by Atria San Pablo, an assisted living facility in the culinary department for over 8 years. Because of her love for her job, Delores would work holidays and special occasions so her co-workers would be able to spend extra time with their families. Her co-workers remembered her different hair styles and it had to be just right.

Delores departed this life for eternal rest on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Beatrice Broughton; brothers, Edward Leroy and Gerald Lee; sister, Audrey Mae and nephew, Earl Broughton.

Delores leaves to cherish her memories, a loving brother, Bernard Broughton and sister-in-law, Betty Mae Broughton; brother, Michael Anthony Broughton; aunts, Agnes, Margie, Louise and Kay; grand aunt, Dorothy; uncle, Jinxie; special niece and nephew, Allyson Broughton Middleton and Bernard Broughton, II; special sister-in-law, Janice Shirer Broughton; spiritual leader, Rev. Lou Ethel Singleton, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
