Edward Lee Thomas, Sr., slept away on Thursday, January 29, 2015. Edward, was one of eleven children, born to the late John and Jessie Mae Bryant Thomas, on March 23, 1944, in Green Cove Springs, Florida. He attended school in Chiefland, Florida and worked at BB & G Roofing for many years, until he was hurt on the job and lost his leg. Edward Lee, loved fishing and his family.

Edward Lee, rode a bike to Jacksonville, Florida, where he met and married the late, Deloris Perkins, from this union four children were born, Darlene, Edward Jr., Bernice and Tyrone. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, John, Bill, Louise Williams and Earl.

Edward Lee, will be greatly missed by his children: Darlene (Melvin) Gardner, Edward L. (Tonya) Thomas, Jr., Bernice (Joe) Wilson, Tyrone (Shynees) Thomas, Edward Lamont Thomas, Edward Leon Thomas, Edwina (Jonathan) Cruz, and Ernest Thomas; grandchildren, John, Ronald, Curtis, Charles, Charlesana, Jesceka, Alonzo, Dion, Darren, Daryl, Elexis, Shequita (Corey), Shequanda, John, Johnesha, Alexus, Tyineesa, Tyron Jr., Aliea, Breanna, Edward Leon, Jr., Sonia, Ernest, Jr., Zai, and J.T.; siblings, Viola Thomas, Dorothy Lee Lindsey, Nathaniel (Carrie) Thomas, Lucy Mae Thomas, Melinda Coley, Larry (Jacqueline) Thomas, and Cornelius (Helen) Thomas; eleven great-grandchildren, one great aunt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
