Alexander Edwards, also known as “Fly” was born in Tampa, Florida on June 16, 1947 to Harold Edwards and Geneva Jordan. At an early age he came to Jacksonville, Florida to live with his grandmother. He attended the Duval County Public Schools and was baptized at Northside Church of Christ, under the leadership of Brother Charlie McClendon.

“Fly” was preceded in death by his parents; wife (Gwen Edwards); two sisters, Irma and Henie and a brother, Gary.

Alexander leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Kevin Miller (Tennille), Jammal Miller (Crystal); sister, Beverly Arline; brother, Willie McCardy (Jeanette); A precious granddaughter, Jamiyah Miller, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including Lillie Y. Pinkney.
