Katie Pearl Walker, was born on July 13, 1943, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Richard Bludson and Margaret Riley. Katie confessed Christ and joined Greater Refuge Temple. She attended the Duval County School System and after completing her schooling she worked throughout the City of Jacksonville for many years. In 1981, she married Johnny Walker and from this union one daughter was born, Evelyn Walker.

Katie, departed this life on February 17, 2015, she was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Bludson and Margaret Riley; son, James Riley; and daughter, Margaret Wade.

Katie leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Linda Riley, Joann Copeland, Thomasina Blackshear and Evelyn Irby; son, John Thomas; twenty-two grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Malpress; brother, Theodore Riley (Carolyn) and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
