Emma Ruth  Lee
Emma Ruth Lee, was born in Keysville, Georgia on August 20, 1917 to the late Issac and Lula Streetman. She has been a lifelong member of Second Missionary Baptist Church, where she raised her five children providing them with their spiritual foundation.

Emma met and married the love of her life, the late Samuel Lee, Sr. on November 20, 1948 in St. Albans Queens, New York and from that union two sons, Samuel Lee, Jr., John Quinn Lee and three daughters, Carrie Lee Redding, Yvette Lee Miller and Rhodesia Butler were born.

Emma has mentored, motivated and touched so many lives across the nation. She not only shared her love with her personal family, she also, loved her church family, her Carver International neighborhood family, the Attitudes Performing Arts family and the many people that was blessed who knew her and loved her back.

Emma departed this life on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Lee, Sr.; her parents, Issac and Lula Streetman and twelve siblings.

Emma leaves to cherish her loving memories, her children, Samuel Lee, Jr., John Quinn Lee, Carrie Lee Redding (Calvin), Yvette Lee Miller (Frank), and Rhodesia Butler (LeRoy); grandsons, Samuel Lee and Bryan Lee; granddaughters, Samantha Lee, Lo’Real Butler, Gabrielle Butler, Tierra Miller, Danielle Butler, Tamara Miller and Coryn Redding; great-grandchildren, Mason Lee, Josiah Prier and Samone Christophe, a very special niece, Patdericka Addison-Jackson; a host of other nieces, nephews, and special friends, Oliveen Glass and Charles Maxwell.

The funeral service for Emma Ruth Lee will be held 10AM, Saturday, April 11th at the Second Missionary Baptist Church, 954 Kings Rd. The visitation will be 5 - 7PM, Friday at the mortuary.
