Obituary for Albert Rayfield Ransom

Albert Rayfield  Ransom
On November 28, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida a baby boy was born to the late Edward Ransom, Sr. and Hazel M. Ransom and they named him, Albert Rayfield Ransom. He was the fourth child of nine children. Albert was educated in the local schools and graduated from Stanton Vocational School, he also attended Bethune Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Albert worked all his life and never missed a day of work, he was a dedicated and hardworking man. He was employed by USF Dugan for years and later branched off to form his own business which was called Ranco Logistics, where he cubed, loaded and unloaded overseas freight. Albert loved to entertain and he cooked the best barbecue. He loved his family and friends and was always willing to give a helping hand when needed.

Albert departed this life on Friday afternoon, August 7, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Ransom, Sr. and Hazel M. Ransom; brothers, Larry K Ransom, Michael L. Ransom; sisters, Mary Alice Ransom, Beverly Ransom and Brenda Ransom.

Albert leaves to cherish his memories a loving and supportive wife of 38 years, Roslyn Ransom; four children, Terrance Paris Ransom (Denise), Arelious O. Ransom, Alyssa Ransom Horne (Richard), Shaun Edward Ransom, Sr.; brothers, Edward Ransom, Jr. (Jessica), Harold E. Ransom; sister, Betty Jean Rollins (Robert); nine grandchildren, Terrance, Terell, Terran, Anthony, Aric, Alezjah, Aunisty, Shaniya and Shaun E. Ransom, Jr.; a devoted friend for more than 40 years, Donald Purdy, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Albert Rayfield Ransom will be held 11 AM, SATURDAY at the Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel, 4315 N.
