Obituary for Myrtle Williams

Myrtle Williams
Myrtle Beard Williams was born in Columbia, South Carolina on January 3, 1932 to the late Marrie Harmond and Murry Tobe. Myrtle wore many hats; she was a daughter, sister, loving wife, mother, and too many a friend, and mentor. Myrtle worked as a Beautician and a Customer Service Representative, but her rewarding career was being a house wife. Together with her husband Rev. Gerald E. Williams, Sr. of 63 years they raised five children, Shirley, Atiba (G.E.W. Jr.), Dawnn, Kevin, and Vivian. Myrtle was a kind and generous soul; she enjoyed her family, cooking, reading, singing, and traveling. As a military wife she lived on all sides of the United States. After they both retired they continued traveling by taking cruises to many different destinations.

Myrtle departed this life on Saturday, October 3, 2015. She was a member of a large family, and was preceded in death by her parents, Marrie Harmond and Murry Tobe; five sisters, and one brother (Charlie Beard).
