Obituary for Doris Parrish-Wright
Sis. Doris Olivia Parrish-Wright was born on July 2, 1958 to the late Johnny Parrish and Willie Y. Haywood in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the public schools of Duval County, graduating from Paxon Senior High School, Class of 1976. Doris also graduated from Florida State College and was a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Doris was a woman with a nurturing character. She loved the Lord and was baptized early in life at the age of thirteen. Doris was very compassionate in caring for those in need and enjoyed making home cooked meals.
Doris departed this life on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents; Johnny Parrish and Willie Haywood; stepfather, Walter Haywood; her husband of eight years, Paul Wright; brothers, Anthony Grant Haywood and Emmanuel “Rollie” Haywood.
Doris leaves to cherish her memory devoted daughters, Shronda Parrish and Renee Wright; loving sisters, Diane Langlois and Gale Haywood (Frank); brothers, Jimmie Parris and Michael Parrish; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
The funeral service for Doris Parrish-Wright will be held 11:00 AM, WEDNESDAY at the Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel, 4315 N. Main St. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
