Obituary for Rosalie Victoria Holt

Rosalie Victoria  Holt
Rosalie V. Jackson Holt was born on March 21,1954 to the loving union of Curtis H. Jackson and Nokomis Swann-Jackson. A local native of Jacksonville, Florida she received her early education in the local public schools of Duval County. She then went on to successfully further her education at Edward Waters College. Rosalie relocated to Bay City, Texas, where she met and married the love of her life Mr. Irving Holt. She received Jesus Christ as her Savior and King and was a member of Mother Zion Baptist Church of Bay City, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor Murray G. Martin. Rosalie lived sixty–three wonderful years surrounded by family members and friends.

Rosalie transitioned peacefully from this life on Monday, June 06, 2016. God called and she did as a faithful good servant, answered. He sent His heavenly chariots down to escort her into His presence.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Curtis H. Jackson and Nokomis Swann–Jackson; two loving sisters, Linda Jackson and Rose J. Reddick; nephew, Raymond L. Reddick.

Rosalie leaves to cherish her beautiful memories a devoted husband of thirty-three years, Irving Holt; sons, Jermaine B. Jackson (Carrie) and Ja’relle A. Walton; five sisters, Lagretta Watkin, Charlotte Coleman, Curline Darden (Paul), LueAnn Robinson, and Yvonne Jackson better known as the “The Jackson Girls”; one beautiful granddaughter, Isbella Jackson; a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special sorrowing friends.

Mrs. Holt’s memorialization will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street.
