Virginia Elizabeth Black affectionately known as “Libby” was born in Waycross, Georgia on August 16, 1949 to Edsel Davis and Beulah Davis. She attended school in Gainesville, Florida where she graduated from Gainesville High School. Libby confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized. She was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God under the leadership of Pastor Eric Osbornes.

Libby met and married Willie Black, III on October 15, 2002. They had a son, Tommy Laverne Jones; and three daughters, Lisa Jones, Cynthia Denise Jones, and stepdaughter, Jasmine Black.

Libby departed this life on Friday, June 10, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edsel and Beulah Davis; brother, Vernon Lee “Bucky” Davis; granddaughters, Ciara Nicole Floyd and Julia Terry.

Libby leaves to cherish loving memories with her husband, Willie Black, III; children, Lisa Jones Luke (Christopher), Tommy Laverne Jones, Cynthia Denise Jones (Stacy Heffner), and Jasmin Black; grandchildren, Madison Goodwin, Trent Jones, Ebony Jones, Alana Heffner, and Khalil Heffner; sisters-in-law, Ramona Black, Tracy Black, Cheryl Black, and Tammy Black; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
