Obituary for MICHELLE Stokes EVANS

MICHELLE Stokes  EVANS
Mrs. Michelle Denise Stokes Evans affectionately known as “Chelle, Sissy, Nana, Baby doll, and Ladybug”, was born on November 11, 1963 in Jacksonville, Florida to the union of Herbert Stokes, Jr. and Ann L. Stokes. She was educated in the Duval County School System, graduating from William M. Raines High School, Class of 1981 “Vikings for Life!”

Michelle was a devoted Christian and a member of All Nations Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Williams. She was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield/Florida Blue with 28 years of service, as a Service Manager for FEP. Michelle received her Associate of Arts Degree from Jones College and her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Phoenix in Jacksonville, Florida. Michelle had a SERIOUS love for HELLO KITTY!

Michelle went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Her mother, Ann L. Stokes preceded her in death three years ago. She will truly be missed.

Michelle leaves to cherish memories with her husband, Michael Evans; daughter, Courtney A. Stokes; stepdaughters, Mickelle and Mikela Evans; son, Brandon J. Allen (Kimberly); grandchildren, Langston, Camille, Shilyndell, Zion, and Germaine; father, Herbert Stokes, Jr.; three sisters, Vicki L. Stokes, Deborah Barnum (Willie), and Charlene Stokes Williams (Kenneth); two brothers, Larry B. Stokes (DeAnna) and Herbert Stokes, III (Deborah); two aunts, Fannie Williams and Dorothy Webb; two uncles, Elroy Rivers, Jr. and Crawford Rivers (Paulette); and a large family of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

The funeral service for MICHELLE Stokes EVANS will be held 11AM, Friday, October 14th, 2016 at the Macedonia Baptist Church 1880 Edgewood Avenue West. The visitation will be 5 - 7PM , Thursday, at the mortuary. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery. Please sign the family guest book and view the video tribute @ www.tswarden.com.
