Obituary for Jeannetta Lavern Craig
Jeannetta Lavern Miller Craig was born on November 1, 1958. She was the 2nd eldest child of James McKenzie and the late Yvonne Miller Williams.
Jeannetta attended the public schools in Jacksonville, Florida graduating from William M. Raines High School, Class of 1976. She was employed by K-Mart stores in 1977 where she worked for 30 years. Jeannetta entered holy matrimony to King E. Craig, Jr. on September 1, 1979 and to this union two daughters, Shelonda and Chrisey were born.
Jeannetta joined All People International Church, under the leadership of Bishop Arthur T. Jones, Sr. where she actively participated and sang in the mass choir and served faithfully alongside her sisters on the Usher Board.
Jeannetta was peacefully called to heaven on New Year’s morning 2017. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Jeannette will be lovingly remembered by her husband, King E. Craig, Jr.; daughters, Shelonda Craig and Chrisey Craig; father, James McKenzie; sisters, Donnetta Kellam (Mark Sr.), Nannetta McDonald, and Karen McKenzie; brothers, Gary McKenzie and Kevin McKenzie (Latisa); brothers and sisters-in-law; aunts, Evelyn Miller and Betty Hudson; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
