Obituary for LORETTA CAMILLA JOHNSON

LORETTA CAMILLA  JOHNSON
Loretta Camilla Phew Johnson was born August 30, 1930 to Elmer and Eugenia Phew in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the third child of six children.

Loretta attended the local schools in Duval County, graduating from Old Stanton High School in 1948. She then went on to pursue a career in telecommunications with Southern Bell (AT&T) retiring in 1986. Loretta continued pursuing various careers and she worked in insurance and even became the secretary of her beloved church for well over 11 years.

Loretta married Oliver B. Johnson Sr., on July 25, 1956 and from this union they share six children, Oliver B., Reginald, Rosaland, Lonita, Jenae, and Terrell Sr.

Loretta departed this life on Saturday, January 14, 2017. 

Loretta leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband of 65 years, Oliver B. Johnson Sr.; her children, Oliver B. Johnson (Mary Ann), Reginald Higgins, Rosaland Jackson, Lonita Johnson, Jenae Johnson, and Terrell Johnson Sr.; a sister, Jean Farr (Donny); adopted brother, Robert Smith; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.



The funeral service for LORETTA CAMILA JOHNSON will be held 10:30 AM FRIDAY, at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 9114 Norfolk Blvd. The visitation will be held 5 - 7 PM, Thursday at the mortuary.
