Obituary for Clarence Taylor

Clarence  Taylor
Clarence Taylor was born on May 27, 1948 to Willie Clarence Taylor and Arena Harrell Taylor in Hawkinsville, Georgia. He attended the local schools of Duval County graduating from Matthew William Gilbert, Class of 1966.

After graduation Clarence worked on the Merchant Marine Ship for some time. Later he was drafted in the United States Army, where he served his country in the Vietnam War. Clarence owned a 18 wheeler truck where he hauled rocks. He later worked for the United States Post Office, driving from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Jacksonville. Clarence was a support beam for his family. He also was a strong force in family matters, willing to come to the aide and rescue to whomever is in need weather it be family or friends.

Clarence departed this life on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Those he will be joining in heaven, a son, Marcus L. Taylor; sisters, Ruthie B. Taylor and Rose Thomas Taylor; brothers, Henry Brezial and Lawyer Brezial.

Clarence leaves to share cherished memories: his father, Willie Clarence Taylor; one son of Jacksonville, Florida, Clarence Dennard Taylor (Brenda); two grandsons, Juan D. Allen and Clarence Taylor Jr.; nine great-grandchildren; two sons of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Corey Taylor (Karen), Jermeil Taylor; stepson, Demetrius Dillard; three grandchildren, Jamell Hankerson, Keryanna Taylor and Kandis Taylor; daughter, Rikkia Taylor (Utah); three brothers; five sisters; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Clarence Taylor will be held 12:00 pm Thursday, April 6th, 2017 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street JACKSONVILLE, FL 32206. The visitation will be 11:00 am 12:00 pm , Thursday, April 6th, 2017 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street JACKSONVILLE, FL 32206. Interment in .
