Obituary for Alvin Dale Logan

Alvin Dale  Logan
Alvin Dale Logan the son of the late Chester Junious Logan. and Nancy Hughes Adams. He was born on August 18, 1960 in Danville, Virginia. Alvin graduated from George Washington High School in Danville, Virginia class of 1978. He later completed his Associates of Arts at Florida State College of Jacksonville in 2001 and his Bachelors of Business Administration at the University of North Florida in 2003.

Alvin joined the United States Marine Corps in 1978. In 1999 he retired from the Marine Corps after 21 ½ years as a Gunnery Sergeant E-7. Alvin also devoted several years working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida and his last employment was Home Depot on Lane Avenue in Jacksonville, Florida.

Those left to cherish Alvin’s memories are: his loving and devoted wife, Rebecca Ann Logan; four daughters, Ebony Subbery of Bolivar, Tennessee, Dana Lovell Logan of Meridian, Mississippi, Paris Gerald (Keith) of Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, Alexandria Knight of Jacksonville, Florida; two sons, Joel Williams (Kim) of Meridian, Mississippi, Henry Mathis, III of Jacksonville, Florida; three sisters, Pamela Johnson of Richmond, Virginia, Cathy Davis (Robert) of Danville, Virginia, Sherri Williams (Roy) of Crestview, Florida; one brother, Timothy Logan (Betty) of Sanford, Florida; 17 loving grandchildren; two brother-in-laws, Issac Fleming (Cheryl) of Harris Neck, Georgia, Tyrone Fleming of Jacksonville, Florida; sister-in-law, Kimberly Thompson (Gregory) of Darien, Georgia; loving mother-in-law, Gloria Fleming of Cannon Bluff, Georgia; one aunt, Mary Ann Giles of Woodbridge, Virginia; four uncles, Charles Logan of Ringold, Virginia, David Logan of Ringold, Virginia, Leonard Thomas of Ontario, Canada and Wayne Thomas of Mechanicsville, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
