Jimmy Lee Chester was born in Blakley, Georgia on January 13, 1949 to Floree Summerset McPherson and Willie J. Chester. Jimmy served in the United States Army as a carpenter. He was a member of the Church of Christ, St. Augustine, Florida under the leadership of Brother Sherman Robinson.
Jimmy departed this life on Monday, April 9, 2018. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Chester Ebanks; sister, Judy Walker.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dorothy Wade Chester; daughter, Jameica Chester Harris; sister, Sandra Littleton; grandchildren, Samuel III, Lilia, Morgan, Jordan, Samantha, Madison Harris; nephews, Tony, Freddick, Charles Story; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
