I am terribly saddened to learn of Laura's death. It is my hope that the reminder of what happens when one dies somehow eases your grief. Psalm 146:4 explains that the dead person returns to the ground; on that day, her thoughts perish. This means that Laura feels no pain nor sorrow. In fact, Jesus referred to his dear friend Lazarus' death as a deep sleep from which he would awaken him. (John 11:11-14) Laura's similar hope is to be awaken from death and reunited with her loved ones to enjoy everlasting life, free of all suffering and worries. Psalm 37:29 promises that obedient children of God will live forever on his restored paradise earth. What a loving, generous gift from God!
