Obituary for Wallace Chandler

Wallace Chandler was born August 15, 1939 in Odum, Georgia to the late parents, Malachi and Doretha Chandler. He fell asleep in death on September 11, 2018.

He attended public school at Waycross Center High, class of 1956.

Wallace was baptized on August 12, 1953 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses while attending the Waycross Congregation.

Wallace was known for his deep love for Jehovah and the ministry. He devoted his life to his family and helping others learn about God’s kingdom with the hope it has for mankind. He was very outgoing and loved by many.

He was preceded in death by one sister: Dora Hayes; three brothers: Hezekiah, Elaine (E.L.), and Daniel.

He was married to Mona “Martha” Chandler for 53 years and had 5 children: Tammie, Phyllis, Vincent, Steven, and Adrian. One of his proudest accomplishments was teaching his children bible truths about Jehovah God and experiencing all his children dedicate their lives to Jehovah.

At the time of his death, he was married to Jacquelyn Chandler and lived in Jacksonville, FL. where they enjoyed serving Jehovah together.

His surviving family includes his wife: Jacquelyn Chandler; two daughters: Tammie (Jimmie) Thomas of Waycross, GA; Phyllis (Herbert) Smith of Waycross, GA; three sons: Vincent Chandler Sr., Sanford, FL; Steven (Tangela) Chandler, Orlando, FL; Adrian Chandler, Jacksonville, FL; three stepsons: Arnett Rogers, Michael Marshall and Kevin Harris; fifteen grandchildren: Jazzmen Thomas, Diana Chandler (Oates), Demond Smith, Montaleatha Thomas, Vincent Chandler Jr., Dexter Smith, Sterling Chandler, Apprecia Chandler (Thomas), Shirece Chandler, Adrianna Chandler (Rivers), Deon Smith, Asia Chandler, Amari Chandler; four great-grandchildren Kiana Oates, Jamari Thomas, Journey Thomas, and Elijah Chandler.

The memorial service for Wallace Chandler will be held 1PM, Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 3003 Soutel Drive. Please sign the family guest book. Arrangements in care of Tyrone S. Warden, FDIC, 4315 N. Main Street, 765-1234
