Deacon Eunice was born in Jacksonville, Florida on January 1,1925 to Walter and Carrie Bell. He attended the local Duval County School Systems. In 1942, he gladly enlisted in the United States Navy. After his military service, he attended Walkers Business School majoring in business administration. Eunice worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years. He was also the owner of E.C. Bell bus services.

Deacon Eunice accepted the clarion call of Jesus early in life and was a dedicated servant at the House of God Saints in Christ, where he became a deacon. He served under the leadership of Bishop Richard Givens. He later expanded his spiritual horizons at the Emanuel COGIC, under the leadership of Elder Gabriel Hall, where he was a faithful member until death. Eunice was known for his expression of thanksgiving through dancing and shouting “Shouting John”. 

Deacon Eunice departed this life on Friday, January 18, 2019. He was preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Roscoe Hill, Walter Bell Jr. and Wallace Bell; oldest son, Michael Bell and grandson, David Masterson Bell.

Deacon Eunice leaves to cherish his memories: a dedicated wife, Mother Carlena Bell; one loving daughter, Lorraine (Lorenzo) Williams; sons, Larry Bell, Daniel (Sharon) Bell, David (Solange) Bell of Stoughton, MA and Darrell (Beverly) Bell; Eunice also leaves to mourn his memories a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service for Eunice Cleveland Bell will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, January 26th, 2019 at the Cathedral of Faith COGIC 2591 West Beaver Street Jacksonville, FL 32254. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, January 25th, 2019 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
