Obituary for Alfred "Bubba" Horne Jr.

Alfred "Bubba"  Horne Jr.
Mr. Alfred “Bubba” Horne, Jr. was born on March 4, 1958 in Mount Vernon, Georgia to the late Alfred Horne, Sr. and Sallie Horne Davis. He received his education in the Duval County Public School System.

Bubba believed in being self-sufficient and working hard to provide for his family. Bubba started early, working in the moving industry at the age of 15 and retired 35 years later. He was passionate about helping others and had a genuine love for everyone. There was a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, Ricky, Irariel, Eric and Elijah.

Bubba entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. He will be truly missed by his family and close friends.

Bubba was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Horne, Sr.; sister, Darlene Horne Mills and brother, Alvin Horne, Sr.

Those left to carry on his beautiful legacy includes his wife: Glenda Horne; his children, Irron Bronner, Belinda Bronner-Haynes (Lawrence), Alicia Bronner; mother, Sallie Horne Davis; four sisters, Ellen Horne Ansley (Willie), Susie Horne Gibson, Patricia “Ann” Horne Wilson (Maurice), and Earnestine Horne Walker; one brother, Paul Horne (Katie); mother-in-law, Eula Bronner; brother-in-laws, Alonza Bronner (Hazel), Mack (Darlene), Cecil (Madie), Barry Bronner; sister-in-laws, Gracie, Veronica Anderson (Willis), Connie, Brenda and Sharon Bronner; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; goddaughters, Akiera Jones and Jasmine Billington; special friends, Tyrone Mobley, Alphonso James and Earl Jones, Wayne McCray, other relatives and friends.


The funeral service for Alfred Horne, Jr. will be held 1PM, Saturday at the Zion Hope Missonary Baptist Church 2803 Edgewood Ave. West. The visitation will be 5 - 7PM, Friday at the mortuary.
