Obituary for Angela Denise "Big Ann" Williams

Angela Denise "Big Ann" Williams
Angela Denise Williams (46), departed this life on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Jacksonville Pavilion Hospice.

She was the 4th child born to Lula Mae and D. W. Williams, Jr. February 29, 1964, in Tallahassee, Florida.

Angela was employed by Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Florida as supervisor of the day shift at the Riverside Office Complex, Jacksonville, Florida for 5 years.

Angela resided in the Clearwater-Largo, Florida area prior to moving to Jacksonville in 2002. She joined Bethel Baptist Church and was a faithful member. She took great pride in her participation in the activities at her church, especially singing in the choir while a member at New Life Fellowship Church.

Her hobbies included cruising, spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.

Angela was preceded by her older sister Debra Simmons in 2003. She leaves to mourn her passing, two loving children, Maurice Williams and Danielle McCray; grandchildren, Amaiya, Aaliyah and Maurice Williams, II; her mother and stepfather, Lula Mae and Alfred Johnson; her father and step-mother, D.W. and Charlie Williams; siblings, Juanita Price, Dorothy Johnson (Steve- husband), Michael (Angelor- wife), Michelle and LaTanya Williams and a host of dear uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In Loving Memory of Angela Denise Williams
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free,
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I’ve found that peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life’s been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch,

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
